

All of these came out of the same imported crate of 20 and are in nice shape. Speaking of the bolts, you'll notice some of them have old corrosion stains/marks on them, this is purely cosmetic and for a while back around 2018 they were getting imported like this. These are pretty clean, so you won't have too much cosmoline to deal with(but it sure doe s smell nice!) The bolts match on these. These are all typical refurb 91/30s in good surplus condition. This will get rid of most corrosive salts from the powder/primer and then you can clean as you normally would. Follow this up by cleaning the bore as you normally would.(Obviously with the rifle unloaded.) MAKE SURE if you're firing surplus ammunition(which is 9 times out of 10, corrosive) that you use water or windex/water to flush out the bore. Usually after 5 or so rounds you'll see most of it gone.

I find the best way to clean out "fuzz" is simply by enjoying the rifle at the range. I have checked EACH and every bore as I was packing these to make sure the rifling was still at least good and the bore will grade good or better once cleaned. It is extremely common for Russian 91/30s to have a dark/frosty/fuzzy bore. C&R eligible.ĭue to the small # of these available there will not be a video done on these.
